剧情：
炭头（刘青云 饰）一直无法从被女友抛弃的阴影之中走出，终日生活在郁郁寡欢之中。某日，炭头邂逅了开朗乐观的阿荣（袁咏仪 饰），阿荣的快乐和单纯渐渐感染了炭头，久而久之，两人走到了一起，组成了家庭。
阿荣一直希望能够拥有自己的孩子，但炭头一想到跟随着孩子而来的负重和责任便起了退却之心。终于，阿荣还是怀孕了，虽然心中有些龃龉，但炭头依然尽心尽力的照顾着阿荣。就在这个节骨眼上，炭头的前女友从法国归来约炭头相聚，就在那一日，阿荣的孩子胎死腹中。炭头用他的温柔包容着伤心欲绝的妻子，知道阿荣迎来了第二个孩子，然而，面对丈夫对胎儿无微不至的关心，阿荣起了疑心。
